Differentiating Instruction for Students Based on Risk Level Report

Audience: Teachers and support staff responsible for instructional interventions and progress monitoring

Description: This session walks participants through accessing and interpreting assessment results from the Risk Level Summary and the Instruction Performance Tracker reports. The data from these reports support group instruction designed to raise the developmental levels of all students in the group. Participants learn how to use Galileo’s Quiz Builder and Instructional Dialog tools to reteach selected standards or reassess subsequent instruction.

Using the Galileo G3 Assessment Scales

Description: This session provides participants with an overview of the Galileo G3 assessment scales. Participants will learn about the age-ranged scales, the domains covered, and how scales are structured and sequenced. Participants will also learn how to familiarize themselves with the scales before recording observations.

Supporting English Learners Intensive Instructional Institute

Hosted by WestEd and Crane Elementary School District

Cost: $800 per person, additional leadership option on October 10 $100 per person

In this two-day intensive institute, teachers and leaders will learn how to implement integrated science, literacy, and English language development (ELD). The institute deepens and broadens understanding of ELA, ELP, Science, and Social Studies Standards in SEI and mainstream classrooms.

Professional learning will be differentiated in four grade span stages (PK-K, 1-2, 3-5, and 6-8). School and district teams are highly encouraged to participate together in the two-day institute for optimal learning and implementation. More information.
